About the Premier Journal of Neuroscience (PJN)

Premier Journal of Neuroscience (PJN) is an open access, peer-reviewed, quarterly journal dedicated to expanding the understanding and application of Neuroscience. PJN fosters interdisciplinary discourse and innovation across all branches of Neuroscience. The journal aims to serve as a platform for integrating diverse scholarly perspectives on contemporary challenges in the field.

Additionally, PJN prides itself on the integrity of its stringent peer-review process. Our rigorous criteria are designed to ensure that all of the articles published in the journal are not only scientifically sound, but also that they contribute to the wider ongoing dialogue in their respective fields. Authors are encouraged to engage and enter dialogue with the global scientific community in a constructive way, sharing ideas and research openly.

The Premier Journal of Neuroscience is dedicated to the global advancement of research, education and the scholarly understanding of Neuroscience. Yes, PJN is an open-access journal, meaning all published articles are available for free to readers across the world. 

How long does the peer-review process take?

Typically, the peer-review process can take between a few weeks to a few months, depending on the complexity of the research and the reviewer availability. 

Is there a submission fee?

No, you will not be charged just to submit your manuscript for review. However, there are fees for publishing an accepted article, but these fees do not influence whether an article is accepted or rejected.
